If you're a savvy ASP .NET programmer with superb technical skills, including VB .NET, SQL Server, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, XML and AJAX, this is a superb opportunity to make your mark in the world of web development. 

As the UK's leading sightseeing company, our client is on the lookout for a talented ASP .NET / VB .NET Developer to join their ambitious team and work on their challenging and complex web-based enterprise level projects. 

As an ASP .NET / VB .NET Developer, you'll have a varied role comprising software development, data analysis, interpreting business requirements and technical specification documents. 

Integrating web applications by designing database architecture and server scripting, you will study and establish connectivity with network systems, search engines and information servers. 

Your other duties will include:

- Investigating, analysing and documenting reported defects
- Performing maintenance programming and correcting identified defects
- Creating, documenting and implementing unit test plans, scripts and test harnesses
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation using defined templates

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:

- ASP .NET and VB .NET programming experience 
- Experience of SQL Server, Microsoft Reporting Services, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, XML and AJAX
- A working knowledge of version control and bug tracking systems

As an ASP .NET / VB .NET Developer, you'll have a flexible attitude and embrace challenging deadlines. Good problem solving abilities and plenty of motivation and commitment are also key.

Although not essential, experience with C#, MVC, and Crystal Reports would be beneficial to your application. Experience of working on complex multi-tier web-based business applications would also be an advantage.
